OMG ~ two posts already today...

WOW
this is most amazing for me...
2 posts before work...
well  hello again...
I hope you look around a bit to see all the different projects/cards
I have made for this blog...
I wanted to enter another challenge over at
This week they are doing a
Heat Embossing
challenge
so with that in mind I did this card this morning...

I used my winning stamp set from
Mark's Finest Papers Heinrich Collection
I used versa mark to stamp the image
then some embossing powder on that
oops as always I forgot the embossing buddy...but this time I remembered it...heehee
it makes it so the 'static' does not attract the embossing powdered anywhere else
then the stamped image...love it...great little tool for the stash...
added some twine by doodle twine color "Bumble Bee"
and some small brads from the stash
pretty simple but I like it...
It's a clean and simple card...
I hope I have inspired you to try something new or old
just try something...

entered the following challenge blog:

Maybe this is the winning card...*wink, wink*

Happy Craft'n
Hope you have a great day

MyGrafico Monday

Hey, it's Monday
you know what that means...
This week we were given these digi stamps to work with...

after forgetting I had made plans ... well long story short...I plumb forgot that I was to be with my Stampin' Up rep last Saturday...

So I wanted to let her know that I am Berry Sorry for being a flake...
I wanted to be there for her but I just got wrapped up in life...
Well there is the story behind this card...
I hope you enjoyed it...
used my Cameo to do the print and cut of the strawberries,
colored them with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
 then added some twine...
Pretty simple...
Have a happy week...I know it's going to be a busy one for me....

It's A HOT Sunday

And I can't think of doing much...
it's too darn hot to go outside...
and too 'sticky' inside...
oh well...

Today I have a challenge entry card for

"Score Lines"
I learned this technique a few months ago
from the Stampin' Up rep in my area..
she does a monthly card class and a tools and techniques class
Oh how I love them so much ...
we have a blast... just a few ladies getting together each month with these fun projects...
so anyway she taught this 'Faux Tile' Technique
and I thought it was just perfect for this challenge
You take your card stock and score it every inch or half inch (like I did here)
in 1 direction then turn your card stock 90 degrees and score the same lines that direction...
its best if you use a score board like I have the Martha Stewart score board and LOVE IT...
then after you have the 'grout' lines you then stamp your image over them...
I like to sponge the edges to make it 'pop'...
then I used a different card stock to stamp the sentiment...
I added some designer paper to the corners then the faux title over that...
added a little bow and there you have my card for today...
I hope you find this post helpful ...
I hope it's good enough to win this weeks challenge...lol....
If you should have any questions about this technique just leave me a comment,
I will try to answer your questions...heehee
Happy Crafting Everyone
Have a wonderful work week to come...

Summer is Here

and it's going to be a hot one...
Today I have this cute card that just says
'Life's Short, enjoy the little things'
it's a stamp set that I won my 1st challenge over at
ok that's a mouth full...heehee
oh I wish you could see the sentiment better
I cut the card with my Cameo, it's a new 3D card that Lori Whitlock has on the Silhouette store and also in her online store... I just love the files she comes up with...
the stamps are by Mark's Finest Papers Heinrich Collection Spring Flowers Stamp Set
I stamped the image and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink
and colored with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
oh I just love how the make me feel like a real artist
the coloring technique you can use,
I looked it up on YouTube how to color using alcohol markers, pretty fun I have to say...
then I added some charms that a friend gave me, I got lots ~ thank you Tammylee ...
added some twine by doodle twine, Lady bug is the color I used...
card stock was from the stash, or maybe the red was from Stampin' Up? heehee can't remember...
that's about it for today's post.
I hope you have enjoyed it, if you have let me know by leaving me a comment

Happy Birthday ~ America

Good Morning
My Grafico Monday
I have the fun and exciting digital goodies for you today...

This is where you can find this great digital file and more...
so with this I made a invitation for a BBQ
every year for July 4
the local fire department puts on the best BBQ
followed by the best fire works show of the surrounding area.
So when I think of 4th of July
I think of the wonderful community BBQ
people from all over the area come to our BBQ it's so good !!!

Second, I thought I would make a 'Birthday' Card to celebrate the Nations Birthday
or any birthday.
I just love how this turned out
the cherry stem is made of doodle twine ~ beetle black
added some buttons and there you have a great card.

Well I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette America Designer Edition
I pulled the cupcake on to the virtual mat,
used the trace image so I could cut just around the image
then I 'mirrored' the image and lined it up so that they were over lapping a bit
then cut that new shape our, which is my card base
then did the print and cut feature for the front of the card
added some buttons from the stash
then I did the title with the Cameo too...
I just used any font I had, that I liked...
then used the offset tool to create the shadow
cut the shadow in navy blue and the letters in white
put the letters through the xxyron  150.
amd thats about if for this card.
I hope this as either inspired you or got your creative juices going again...
I can only hope that my short tutorials
help you to use your cutter to the ex-stream, hee hee

Happy Dad Day

It's fathers day
what better way to say thank you
then by spending your day with your 'daddy' today...
we if you cannot spend the day with him...then at least think about him
well today I put together this 'dad' day card
I am sure it's in time for my dad...heehee
sorry it's late....
I used SVGCuts All About Dad svg kit to cut the shirt card and elements
I stamped the sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers Heinrich Collection "Spring Flowers'
that I won the other day at their Tutorial Challenge blog ... oh was I excited...
anyway back to dads...
I hope you have a change to spend some special time with your dad...
have a "Fabulous" day

entering in the following challenges:

Your on the right Track...

Good Morning...
Happy Father's day to all those wonderful dad's out there ...

I have for you a winner of my game
that was played
on Thursday ...
1-the shells are placed differently 2-One card is landscape the other portrait 3- the cardstock is different, one is a print the other is solid 4- there is black behind the lace on one card 5- one small shell is missing on one card. 6- The large shell runs off the page on one card I like both cards. They are very pretty. The shells look like charcoal drawings. Thanks for sharing. Edwina Brown edwina.brown@live.com

Edwina I have sent you an email to claim your prize...
to everyone that played along
Thanks for playing...

Now for my project today
I just love this technique that Lois shared with us ...
what fun it was to use my Cameo to cut these pieces...
I tore my co-ordinations paper to create the mountains
I used my Sizzix 'brink' embossing folder with black ink in it to create the brick around the tunnel
I did print and cut with the sentiment, so I guess you could say its a digi file...
I also created the sky using powdered chalk
created most of my cut files myself
so it was a bit of a challenge to get it to all come together...
I hope you have enjoyed this project, if so please let me know by leaving a comment...
Thanks a ton

well for my area that was about 2 weeks ago...
But better late then never, right...hee hee
This week we have a great file to share with you

so this is what I came up with for this weeks Challenge
'Graduation'
I used the print and cut feature with my Cameo, die cut machine
I used the Silhouette America program to pull the images on to the virtual mat
re-sized them to fit on the card from Silhouette America store
I then printed the card with the images...
cut the card with my Cameo
then I added the Graduation Die cut in the middle
and some brads and a tassel that I made
oh and the '2012' die cut that I made again with the Cameo
I don't remember the font I used...sorry
I inked the edges for a richer feel.
and there you have it...
a graduation card for that special someone in you life

(you can't see them well under the ribbon, but its there)
