Angels Among Us Blog Hop

Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours.
To show us how to live to teach us how to give.
To guide us with the light of love.

(Lynne speaking) I know for myself, that I have a guardian angel watching over me as she is my very own precious child that I had lost in 1991 and she would have been 23 years old today. Strange how comforting it is to know that someone watches over us in sew many ways.

When life held troubled times, and had me down on my knees.
There’s always been someone there to come along and comfort me.
A kind word from a stranger, to lend a helping hand.
A phone call from a friend, just to say I understand.

Today's hop may be the story of our own Guardian Angel who watches over us, the beauty of angels, or just expressing kind words. The craft blogging world is phenomenal as sharing loving thoughts and caring towards others.

We have fabulous sponsors today
  1. Lucy Kelleher, A Close to My Heart representative, has graciously offered a stamp set called "Angelic Blessings" to one lucky winner that becomes a follower of her blog,http://love2createitall.blogspot.com
  2. Daisy Collins of I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose, http://tsunamirosedesigns.blogspot.com/, also has a Zibbet store, http://www.zibbet.com/tsunamirose, where she designs beautiful papers - has graciously offered to custom design a paper for one very very lucky winner that becomes a follower of her blog!
If you were visiting me today, I appreciate and love you visiting me, but would want you to start at the beginning of the hop not as to miss a single angel with Lynne at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. If you have arrived from Janet, then you are in the right flight!

This blog hop is near and dear to my heart.
As you may know, by the title of my blog,
I love angels and strongly believe they are among us each day.
My daughter was an angel one year for Halloween.
She was maybe 4 years old at the time. It was even then that I loved angels so much...
I think that is why she was an angel that year...
Jessica has always been my little angel...
Yep, this is my daughter in her Halloween costume.
I can remember when she went trick or treating she had to  turn to her side to
slide into the door ways, the wings were soooo big (one end they were taller than her)...
we got this darling dress the night before the occasion at the
local Joann's, it was one of the displays, anyway
it was perfect, like an angel brought it to us. It fit perfect could not have been better.
then we bought some white material and some fabric stiffener. We put the stiffener on the
material and put  it on the floor to dry, and prayed to the angels that it would dry for school in the morning... I colored the the wing tips with some gold paint...

There's my Angel
So to pay tribute to my angel obsession I made this cute card

I got to use my alcohol inks to color the digital stamp. The digi stamp is by Bugaboo...
added some bling and a bow...pretty easy...

I have some blog candy to give 1 lucky comment,
you must be a follower to win....

fly along now...

Your next stop along the way today is Michele. I thank you and appreciate you're stopping today and hope you stop again!

I have the complete line-up of the angels in the blog hop just in case you get off the chosen path!!!

MyGrafico Monday...Back to School...

Good Monday, how is everyone...
Last week I just was not 'in to it' and did not do a MyGrafico post...
so this week I am making up for it...

This week we are showcasing this great 'Collab Kit'
and all the many things you can do with it...

I wanted to do something different with this kit...
different the 'just a card'
so I made this cute paper pad holder...
what a nice teacher gift this would make...

I started with a simple easel card then made the base of the card a bit longer
then added the note pad that I got at the dollar store...
it is a bit bigger than an A2 card so I would
recommend that you make it a larger card so it fits in a envelop better...
not sure what size but a 8 1/2 x 11 folded in half size...heehee

so now go check out the other design team members projects...
they are so awesome...they will blow you away..

Well off to school my kids go...
you all have a wonderful week...
Until Next Time

Chalk n Stock challenge blog...

It's using the chalks directly to the white card stock to get the
desired colors...I love the pastels you can create with this chalk
to get the sentiment to pop I used versa marker ink then brushed
that with the chalk...
Used some embossing folders  and easy as that...

Be sure to check out the current Chalk N Stock Challenge
for a chance to take home some digi stamps by...

Pretty Quiet Here...

Hello, Hello, Hello

I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I am still alive and well...
well, maybe not well but I am still alive...lol
I had a big job interview yesterday and now I feel much better....
so I have not had much crafting mojo to make much of anything...
but I hope my mojo is back and I can create to my hearts content...

This card is clean and simple as they say...
I used some designer paper from the stash,
ribbon from the stash and then the circle with Hello, Hello, Hello
I used direct to paper with chalk technique to get the desired
color to match the background...inked the edges a bit and pop dotted it on...
Clean and Simple

I hope everyone is having a wonderful back to school time...
I know my kids started last week and that's another thing that has
gotten me away from crafting...

but I am here and I hope to share some really cool
news with you in the next few weeks...
so be sure to check back to find out my
very special news...

Beachy Time @ MyGrafico

MyGrafico design team is showing you how do mix things up with

for this we worked got this file to work with...

so I decided to put some pictures of my last trip to the beach
on a photo clip stand....up cycled project

I used the trace tool in my Silhouette America software
that is used with my Cameo to trace each image so that the Cameo could cut the items out...
oh have I ever told you how much I love my Cameo...heehee

I took and old photo holder that I got at Christmas time,
Just like this one....
took off the words
covered the base with the title 'beach BUM' with a added sun...
Then I took a few other elements from this set and added them directly to the photos...
oh what a fun way to display some photos of any kind....
just add some clip art to your photos
and whaw la... there you have it...

remember to up~cycle those discounted items at the store after a holiday...
it worked out great for this project...

Now for you to win this set ....
all you need to do is enter your 'Beach' themed project to

also visit the challenge blog for more ideas to start the mojo
I know I have been having a hard time with my mojo...

but after reading the tutorial a few times...and miss cutting a double sided card stock...

The tutorial is over at Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Co...

Is this not the coolest card ever...
there are two tags you make with the card...and the card even opens up like a 'normal' A2 card....

I loved how this turned out...

I used Double-sided Cardstock by Heidi Grace Designs
AC Cardstock
my new stamp set by Fiskars
"Laugh with Me Quotes"
some die cut images cut with my Cameo... some ribbon from the stash...
Oh this was so fun...I can see me making some more of these...
